A teenage boy was knocked off his bike by a hit-and-run driver on the wrong side of the road.

Wiltshire Police have launched an appeal after the incident, which took place on Stone Lane in Lydiard Millicent on Friday, September 15 between 8.30pm and 8.40pm.

The boy was hit on the elbow by a red Renault and suffered minor injuries. He did not go to hospital but the driver fled the scene without checking he was ok.

Wiltshire Police believe the driver then crashed into another vehicle after the first incident.

The police have urged the public to call 101 and quote crime reference number, 54230098716.

    Alcohol or cannabis-related?

Could have been worse, of course.

Considering the way that the English Language is murdered these days, the
boy on the bike could have been on the wrong side of the road.

Had that been written as “The vehicle of a hit-and-run driver was
travelling on the wrong side of the road when it was in collision with a
boy on a bicycle”, the incident might have been somewhat clearer.
