A cyclist has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Aberdeen.

Police and paramedics attended the scene on the city's King Street at around 4.15pm.

The male, whose age is not known, was 'checked over' at hospital.

Traffic was said to be held up while emergency services attended to the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 4.15pm on Wednesday, 13 September, 2023, police were called to a report of a cyclist being struck by a car on King Street, Aberdeen.
