just bought a imaculate second hand hp elete 8300 ultra slim desktop
6gig sd ram 500 gb hdd with psu for £25 at a car boot sale in Glasgow
today knock off ? ... ....think it was a bargain but it came with
windows 11 pro...HELP what have they done...it has taken me all day to
get things sorted out...nothing is familiar....
The 8300 is about 10 years old, nonetheless it looks a bargain. W11 is
grim. It suffers from the " blue circle of death"Â followed by the "grey screen of death", then the application of the 3 finger salute . I regret upgrading from W10. W11 is obviously not for people who want to do complicated things like copying or renaming files and directories. I had
to make a "shutdown" icon. There's something evil about just pressing
the power button and hoping it shuts in an orderly fashion.

I've no idea. The shack computer is W10 and of the same vintage and it
won't let me upgrade to W11. I need to check if the laptop has TPM 2.0
as it has been particularly sluggish and flaky since the upgrade. I
think it started out with W7.
It looks like you have to do a clean install.
