The 8300 is about 10 years old, nonetheless it looks a bargain. W11 is
grim. It suffers from the " blue circle of death"  followed by the "grey screen of death", then the application of the 3 finger salute . I regret upgrading from W10. W11 is obviously not for people who want to do complicated things like copying or renaming files and directories. I had
to make a "shutdown" icon. There's something evil about just pressing
the power button and hoping it shuts in an orderly fashion.

    Brian
given that 11 has been installed without tpm 2.0 how do I get back to 10?.....by the way have you told FMF to be nice to me ?

I've no idea. The shack computer is W10 and of the same vintage and it
won't let me upgrade to W11. I need to check if the laptop has TPM 2.0
as it has been particularly sluggish and flaky since the upgrade. I
think it started out with W7.

It looks like you have to do a clean install.
