Got our swapped-out stamps from Royal Mail today. Postie shoved a large envelope marked "Do not bend" through our letterbox folded in two and
when we straightened it out there was a bootprint on it.

On opening it they told us that our carefully counted stamps and their
total value was incorrect (I think they mean that they dropped some
and didn't bother picking them up), and returned us stamps with a
    reduced total value.

Apparently they're threatening to strike, which I reckon could lead to
    them cutting their own throats.

From the end of January 2023 stamps without a barcode will not be valid,
so there is a scheme where you send your non-barcoded stamps in
together with a completed form (my wife had about £125 worth) and you
    get barcoded ones in return.
