Eight months after the shooting death of a Kettering woman, a mother is
still blaming herself.

On June 6, 2023, Kettering police found 28-year-old Sierra Still dead
inside her home. She had been shot multiple times, according to a
previous News Center 7 report.

As reported on News Center 7 at 6:00, Tina Still, Sierra’s mother talk
about how life has been since her family’s tragic loss.

“She was a great person, wonderful mother,” Still said. “She was my best friend.”

Police discovered Sierra after Taveon Glenn turned himself in to
Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies and told them that he did something
to his wife and that she may be injured.

On Monday, Feb. 12, Glenn was indicted on two counts of murder, one
count of felonious assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of
felonious assault causing serious physical harm.

“I should have gotten her out sooner,” Tina said.

Tina said she was planning to help Sierra leave Glenn the day she was
killed.

“He wasn’t supposed to be home till seven or eight,” Tina said. “I don’t
care if maybe she hit him first. It still gives nobody a reason to shoot somebody multiple times.

Tina said two months before the shooting, Glenn threatened her daughter.

“They were fighting, and he laid a bullet on the table and said this is
the only way you’re getting out of this marriage,” Tina said.

She never thought Glenn would follow through with this threat.

“I was in shock. I’m still in shock over it,” Tina said.

Sierra left behind three children. Tina says she sees her daughter in
all of them.

“Different expressions they make, things they say, things they do,” Tina
said.

Tina told News Center 7 that Glenn’s mother won custody of the three
children.

“It’s not ever going to be the same,” Tina said.

The only thing that can help Still now, is seeing Glenn behind bars.

“He needs life,” she said. “He took my daughter’s life, he needs life.”
