Exit polls suggest the center-right Democratic Alliance will
replace the ruling Socialist Party as the strongest force in
parliament. But no group will win a majority and a far-right
party is set to gain sea
The poll for public television RTP projected AD winning
between 83 and 91 seats in the 230-seat parliament, well
short of a majority by itself.
The ruling center-left Socialist Party (PS) was predicted
to slip to second-largest party, on between 69 and 77 seats.
Meanwhile, the far-right party Chega (Enough) was predicted
to make sizeable gains, rising from 12 seats before the vote
to between 40 and 46.
. . .
Europe is decidedly on a track to go well 'right'.
Sweden took a hard right turn, Italy's Meloni is
essentially a modern blackshirt, France and
Germany keep shifting further right (freaking out
the pinkos who, copying the US Dem party, keep
trying to arrest their opponents). Eastern Europe
kinda already shifted right.
"Immigration" has been one of the prime movers but
the chaotic degenerative state of EuroSocialism in
general makes everyone crave a big change.
