Appellate courts will reject. Supremes are bought and paid for, as
Don Fatso has pointed out, and they just might.

    | TRUMP: A president has to have immunity

A president does not have absolute immunity. If he commits acts not within the boundary of presidential duties, and any of those acts are crimes, he is subject
to prosecution for them after leaving office (however he leaves).

Trump does not have immunity for organizing fake electors.

Trump does not have immunity for inciting an insurrection (there was an insurrection).

Trump does not have immunity for soliciting state elections officials to commit election fraud.

Trump is going to lose his immunity appeal and he is going to be prosecuted.

I know that English is your second language, Russian troll,
but that refers to civil lawsuits, not to criminal. No
president (until Trump) has asserted that they have immunity
from criminal prosecution. Quoting your article:
    |
    | Neither civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted
    | in the Constitution or any federal statute.
    |
In fact all the court cases in *your article* state that
immunity is limited in criminal cases.

    Lazy much?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_immunity_in_the_United_States

The president of the United States enjoys absolute immunity from
many lawsuits while in office; it is legally untested whether they
also enjoy criminal immunity from arrest or prosecution. Neither
civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted in the
    Constitution or any federal statute.

The Supreme Court of the United States found in Nixon v.
Fitzgerald (1982) that the president has absolute immunity from
civil damages actions regarding conduct within the "outer
perimeter" of their duties. However, in Clinton v. Jones (1997),
the court ruled against temporary immunity for sitting presidents
from suits arising from pre-presidency conduct. Some scholars have
suggested an immunity from arrest and criminal prosecution as
well, a view which has become the practice of the Department of
Justice under a pair of memoranda (1973 and 2000) from the Office
of Legal Counsel. Presidents Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and
Donald Trump were criminally investigated while in office, but
none was prosecuted while in office. No court has ever ruled on
    the matter of criminal immunity.

You said "Other presidents have asserted this," meaning immunity. The Wikipedia piece does not cite any other presidents claiming criminal immunity. It discusses criminal immunity generally, but only for incumbent presidents, and it
does not mention anything about any other presidents claiming criminal immunity,
either while in officer or afterward.

"Strongman" conjures up Stalin, Pol Pot, the absolute monarchs of old and ancient Europe
and even, dare I say the name? Adolf Hitler.

America is the very antithesis of this. No, we *don't* want a strongman. We don't want a
President strong enough to dictate to Congress and the Courts. We don't want anybody
strong enough to upset the checks and balances of power that were built into our system of
government from its earliest days to its most recent. We certainly don't want anybody
against whom the military is unwilling to work.

Our current President ignores both Congress and the Courts. No, he's
not a "strongman" but that doesn't change the facts.

    |
    | When historians chronicle the end of the Grand Old Party,
    | they may mark 2024 as the turning point. Something called
    | the Republican Party will surely exist for years to come,
    | like a legacy brand subsumed by a competitor, but it
    | appears to be coming to its end as a functional party.
    | Instead, the Republican Party has become just another
    | subsidiary of Donald Trump Inc.
    |
    | Yesterday, Trump announced his effective takeover of the
    | Republican National Committee, endorsing Michael Whatley,
    | the chair of the North Carolina GOP, as chair; his
    | daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as co-chair; and one of his
    | top campaign advisers, Chris LaCivita, as chief operating
    | officer. LaCivita will reportedly also remain with the
    | Trump presidential campaign, splitting time. The current
    | chair of the party, Ronna McDaniel, is stepping down
    | because of pressure from Trump.

Congratulations Supreme assholes. This is who you could've
stopped. Now it's too late. I'm increasingly afeared it will end
    in blood.

    Trump: "Presidents cannot function without
    criminal immunity"

Except for every president in US history.....

They aren't totally sold on Trump's demand.

"Justices in both ideological camps expressed skepticism at Trump’s broadest argument that
former presidents should receive absolute immunity for all official acts while in the
    White House."

Inciting an insurrection against Congress and slopping together slates of fake electors are not official presidential acts. Official presidential acts are executing powers expressly assigned to the executive branch, or acting to enforce laws passed by Congress. Trump's efforts to remain in office after losing the free, fair and clean election were neither one of those.

"Justices in both ideological camps expressed skepticism at Trump’s

The "broad argument" can't work (these days). Even
presidents are not allowed to act as despots. The
more narrow argument however, presidents DO need
some - at least temporary - slack in order to do
the necessary stuff we'd prefer not to know about.
    It's legally, ethically, TRICKY here.

Trump is not a "fascist". He's an egomaniacal asshole
you can't listen to for more than five minutes, but
his politics are not "fascist" - actually a bit closer
    to "moderate" by and large.

Oh, and saying a political rival/party is corrupt is
not a bad thing in and of itself - a public service.
However you need to be able to BACK that with a
    bunch of specifics and whistle-blowers.
