China's Xi Jinping announces Russia visit for talks with Vladimir Putin

Chinese President Xi Jinping plans to visit Russia next week
from Monday to Wednesday, in an apparent show of support for
Russian President Vladimir Putin, amid sharpening East-West
tensions over the war in Ukraine.

Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine is expected to dominate
Putin and Xi's discussions. China has refused to condemn
Moscow’s aggression and sought to project itself as neutral
in the conflict even while Beijing declared last year that
it had a “no-limits” friendship with Russia.

Putin wants ARTILLERY SHELLS first and foremost from China.

"No Limits" friendship eh - not to mention discount Russian
petrochemicals .......

Both Putin and Xi know that the west/NATO are already badly
strained over supplying Ukraine. Covid and other factors
kind of broke the western spine. Neither Biden or any of
the major EU leaders are capable of tolerating any more
military strain. Talk is cheap, but ACTION is EXPENSIVE.

All Russian needs at the moment is a 2nd line of military
supplies. It can draft as many people/prisoners as it needs
to perpetuate the conflict. Dissenters will NOT go to jail,
they'll just disappear. Russia is Russia and that's how it
does things.

Oh, ONE possible alternative outcome. Xi has just kind of
consolidated himself as a god, the next Mao. He is purging
all opponents and possible opponents with zeal. Getting him
out-of-country ... well ... a "Ukrainian attack" could just
take him out - and provide a convenient villain ..........

It would be hilarious of Victoria Nuland (nee Noodleman) and Lindsey
Graham showed up in Beijing handing out cookies and orchestrating a coup
d'etat against Xi, Kiev-style.

One must wonder if the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan weighs on
the minds of Lloyd Austin and General Milley as the realization takes
hold that they may have bitten off more than they can chew taking on
Russia and China while pretending they don't want to push things too far.
