Trump IS good at preaching - to the converted. He maybe,

In short he had his day, and ultimately blew it by
his own efforts. Time for the next people, people
who CAN convert Blue to Red, people who are NOT
absolutely utterly full of themselves. People you
CAN stand to listen to. Even Pompeo immediately
turned on Trump the other day when he tried to
trash DeSantis. That's the 2023 preview.

This pattern seems to repeat across time. There's
the initial conqueror - but that's their only trick

No ... it was a (mild) "peaceful protest".

Doesn't look very peaceful to me.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iludfj6Pe7w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlqAfnwoYno

Yeah, nobody died and it was REAL peaceful.
"Five people died either shortly before, during, or following the
event: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug
overdose, and three died of natural causes.[22][30] Many people were
injured, including 138 police officers. Four officers who responded to
the attack died by suicide within seven months.[23] As of July 7,
2022, monetary damages caused by attackers exceed $2.7 million.[31]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack

    Bombs were placed.
"Around 12:45 p.m., a bomb was discovered next to a building
containing Republican National Committee (RNC) offices by a woman
using the shared alleyway to access her apartment building's laundry
room.[234] She alerted RNC security, which investigated and summoned
law enforcement; U.S. Capitol Police, FBI agents and the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) all responded to the
    RNC bomb.[235]

About thirty minutes later, while officers were still responding at
the RNC, they were informed a second pipe bomb had been discovered
under a bush at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#Bombs_discovered_near_Capitol_Complex

Just before 2:00 p.m., numerous rioters reached the doors and windows
of the Capitol and began attempts to break in. Around 2:11, a group of
rioters used a piece of lumber to break through a window and began
climbing into the building moments later.[258] At 2:12, a Proud Boy
seized a Capitol Police plastic shield and used it to smash through
another window; by 2:13, the Capitol was officially breached, and the
growing mob streamed into the National Statuary Hall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#Capitol_breach

Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed 35-year-old Air Force veteran, was fatally
shot in the upper chest by Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd while attempting to
climb through the shattered window of a barricaded door.[405]

Brian Sicknick, a 42-year-old responding Capitol Police officer, was pepper-sprayed during the riot and had two thromboembolic strokes the
next day,[406][407] after which he was placed on life support[8] and
soon died.[408][409] The D.C. chief medical examiner found he died
from a stroke, classifying his death as natural,[410] and commenting
that "all that transpired played a role in his condition". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#Casualties

    Suicides
"Morale among the Capitol Police plummeted after the riot.[417] The
department responded to several incidents where officers threatened to
harm themselves.[417] Four officers from various police departments
who responded to the attack committed suicide in the days and months
that followed:[418] Capitol Police Officer Howard Charles Liebengood
died by suicide three days after the attack,[419] and D.C.
Metropolitan Police Officer Jeffrey Smith, who was injured in the
attack, died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head at George
Washington Memorial Parkway on January 15, after a misdiagnosed
concussion. A former D.C. chief medical examiner hired by Smith's
widow reported that the "acute, precipitating event that caused the
death of Officer Smith was his occupational exposure to the traumatic
events he suffered on January 6, 2021";[420][87] Smith's widow
subsequently sued two of his alleged assailants, claiming they caused
a traumatic brain injury with a crowbar or a heavy walking stick,
leading to his death.[421] In the immediate aftermath of the attack,
some members of Congress and press reports included these two suicides
in the number of reported casualties, for a total of seven
deaths.[422] In July, two more members of law enforcement who
responded to the attack died by suicide: Metropolitan Police Officer
Kyle Hendrik DeFreytag was found on July 10, and Metropolitan Police
Officer Gunther Paul Hashida was found on July 29." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#Suicides

Damage (that the taxpayers have to cover since the Capitol was
    uninsured) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#Damage

    "Insurrections" are VAST,

Not really. History is filled with local rebellions often quickly
snuffed out by the powers that be.

Elizabeth I faced rebellion by Catholic nobles in the north. When, on
their southward march, they discovered nobody was joining their ranks,
they turned and fled without a fight.

The Whiskey Rebellion George Washington quashed was small and limited
    to western Pennsylvania.
