Perhaps you could post this in some other, more appropriate newsgroup
instead of one dedicated to arguing about creationism.

I do apologize for my posts having entered your newsgroup. I didn't catch
the fact the OP opted to cross-post it in an effort to draw in more people under the false guise of having legitimate questions and concerns.

David Brooks as well as Snit are not individuals you really want to spend
    much time associating with.

    <https://tekrider.net/pages/david-brooks-stalker.php> <https://tinyurl.com/whatissnit>
    <https://tinyurl.com/snitliemethods>

There's a ton more online if you just google about either one of them.
Both are very bad news. Don't let your newsgroup become infested by entertaining their BS. Otherwise, you'll have the same problem that alt.computer.workshop has now, and what various other newsgroups as
described in the above urls all had to deal with. Snit and David Brooks
are bad news. You've been warned.

I've tried to contact DIG.  No answer as yet.  It isn't clear to me
that he has banning powers since the demise of GG.

Of course he does. His powers have nothing to do with GG.

Well, I hope he exersizes them.

He’s in control of Beagle which houses the robomoderator. He can ban on our end regardless of what goes on for the rest of usenet. GG was only a
web-based usenet interface/provider. Usenet pre-dated GG and has outlived
    GG.

I just sent an email to DIG informing him of the issue. And
yes, as moderator he still has all the authority he ever
had; as others have noted GG's existence is irrelevant to
    that.
