I was unaware of that specific item, but Randi was very good
at puncturing delusions and the claims of charlatans, and
was careful to collect enough objective evidence (such as
you note) in support. Of course, many, especially the

Cessna 172 has a 160 hp, just under 120 kW, motor. Your motor is comparable

Signor Laureti is a nut. He listens to nothing, and has been repeating >> >his junk for years. Don't waste time on him.

He pushes the high(?)-tech equivalent of "yogic flying", and
his method works about as well.

Someone who really believed he could do it
has tried to collect the James Randi prize for it.

He could say Hop Hop! to himself, but Randi's camera didn't see air.
Randi tells that the guy was quite surprsed,
because he really believed in himself,

I was unaware of that specific item, but Randi was very good
at puncturing delusions and the claims of charlatans, and
was careful to collect enough objective evidence (such as
you note) in support. Of course, many, especially the
self-deluded, refused to accept the debunking, but that
    didn't make the evidence vanish.

Actually Randi was much better than that.
He was NOT out to puncture delusions.
Instead he talked with the claimants,
allowed them all freedom to say what they thought they could do,
and how they thought this could be demonstrated.
(they talked about it until they had reached agreement)
The process was designed to be non-adversarial.
Randi made it clear that he too was willing to be surprised.
He was even willing to give his prize to a faker.
(if good enough to fool him)

Hence the utter surprise of some of the claimants at the outcome.
That guy who thought he could levitate really believed that he could.

Please bring back some rock. Tell you what, I'll be generous, I'll
give you 'til next Xmas, that's 36 lots of 10 days - should be plenty.

Maybe we should settle for some bottles of Marsala?
His kilopower FIAT could go there and back in ten days,

a 100kw kilopower to Mars and return in less than 10 days

Oh, gee... 100 kilowatts. Hmm. 1 hp is 746 watts. 100 kW is... 134 hp. A Cessna 172 has a 160 hp, just under 120 kW, motor. Your motor is comparable to the motors fitted to light passenger aircraft. A bit less powerful, actually. Hmm. This is supposed to impress people? You're going to go to
Mars in an underpowered Cessna? Really? And what are you going to use to generate that 100kW? You'd better have a robust, non-air-breathing, power system. What is it?

At a rough guess you are going to need about 10^12 Joule.
At 10^5 Watt this is going to take 10^7 seconds, so 100 days,
assuming 100% efficiencyy in all processes.
So no way this is going to work, whatever the system,
