as this seemed to work, for anyone else who cases the
following might help if you are posting from googlegroups.
My post has at the top a form element labeled from.
That's followed by my email in the form of a my tag name
followed by my email address in angle brackets. There
are no quotes around my tag name.
I have suspicions that the developers have "upgraded"
something to do with how they encrypt email addresses.
As I recall, they do some back and forth to a specialized
format of HTML that restricts some tags and probably
encrypts email addresses. From some limited experiences
long ago, all sorts of odd things like whether or not the user
name tag begins inside quotes or not can effect things.
There are some mixed notions for standards of listing an email
address that don't require a separate user name or bracketing
the root email address. I guess I could try to manufacture the
problem by playing with the from line but where's the fun in that?
