Apparently, India is dropping biological evolution out of the 9th and
10th grade curriculum. In the US several states have talked about
dropping biological evolution from their science standards.
Creationists succeeded for a short period of time in Kansas before
enough of them were voted out of office to reverse the decision.

Willful ignorance seems to be an option since banning teaching the
subject is no longer an option.

The Kansas incident failed so quickly because they tried to be willfully ignorant of too many subjects. They removed geological dating, and undertanding about isotopes in chemistry class. They dropped the Big
Bang out of the science standards along with biological evolution. They
might have succeeded for a longer period of time if they had satisfied themselves with just biological evolution, but the Biblical creationists
on the Kansas board had issues with a lot of science that they needed to
    deny.
