NAVASOTA, Tex. (KBTX)- Navasota police have arrested a high
school teacher accused of having an improper relationship with a
student.
An arrest warrant for Jennifer Drushel, 30, of College Station
was issued Monday, and she was taken into custody around 2:00
p.m.
Drushel was booked into the Grimes County Jail on the charge of
Improper Relationship between Educator and Student, a 2nd degree
felony.
NISD's Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick says Drushel is now on paid
administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation
and wouldn't be allowed to return to any campus.
Drushel's staff profile has been wiped from the school
district's website, but an archived page shows she was a
Forensic Science & Environmental Science Teacher and the
school's Color-guard Director.
The case is ongoing and under investigation. Anyone with
information is encouraged to contact the Navasota Police
Department at 936-825-6410.
