The PROBLEM isn't so much the SS program per-se.
It's that congress/mil has been "borrowing" mass
quantities of money from the fund for many decades.
It doesn't show up as a "tax/budget increase" so
it's been the perfect trick for politicians eager
to stuff the old Pork Barrel.
