Tiger Woods is CARTED OFF the course just seven holes into
his second round at the Genesis Invitational as his long-awaited
PGA Tour return is cut short as legend withdraws due to illness
Woods appeared to be visibly struggling and was carted off on
hole No. 7
He had teed off on the seventh before leaving the course and
withdrawing
. . .
I figure this is the end. He had a good, albeit a bit
short, reign as champion - and a really weird off-course
life too. But various health issues, mostly from his
auto crash, apparently cannot be resolved and debility
is increasing.
Alas he does not seem to have the certain "it" required
to be a sports announcer. However he can still make
some $$$ as special commentator, perhaps being involved
in certain endorsement and charity deals, book deals
and such.
Dunno if that'll be enough to pay the rent on his high-$$$
properties. I'd driven past his palace on Jupiter Island
Florida ... it even has a small golf course in the back yard.
That real-estate is some of the most expensive in the world,
you see lots of old-money names on the mailboxes. I guess
they didn't mind a celeb like Tiger around though.
