American Weakness on Display in the Red Sea

.. The United States tried and failed to build a naval coalition to stop
the Houthi's interdiction .. At first, the Pentagon announced Operation Prosperity Guardian with great fanfare. But soon it scaled back ..
admitted a lack .. and sustained a prestige hit when France, Spain, and Australia all dropped out of the planned operation ..
Just a mere 20 years ago, the U.S. projected significant power .. But
cracks in U.S. dominance are beginning to show .. In its attempts to
maintain unipolarity, the Biden regime has instead accelerated the rise
of multipolarity .. American strategy must navigate a multipolar world
by setting priorities, abandoning vanity projects, reducing the scope of
    its ambitions ..

.. 77 percent of Americans between the ages of 17 and 24 are ineligible
for military service without a waiver, up from 71 percent in 2017. The
most common reasons for ineligibility were obesity, drug abuse, and
mental and physical health conditions .. The percentage of Americans
who reported having a "great deal of confidence" in the armed forces
    dropped from 70 percent to 48 percent between 2018 and 2023 .. About 22
percent of Americans aged 2 to 19 are obese ..

The US isn't the biggest power in the Middle East any more. Iran is

.. Unpalatable reality: Washington's political leverage is waning, its diplomacy ineffectual, its authority scorned .. The dominant power in
the Middle East is no longer the US, western-aligned Egypt, Saudi Arabia
or even Israel .. Biden alienated global (and much American) opinion by
rashly pledging unconditional support to Israel .. His Middle East
policy looks outdated and out of touch. The US, never popular in the
Arab world, was tolerated as a necessary evil. No longer ..

Gee. That's too bad. I do believe that the heavy presence of Civilized
people in that area keeps the Natives from turning on each other. The
entire region could turn into a blood bath over night. Some of those
crazies are Nuclear armed and could very easily start tossing nukes
around. It would be really nice if you and your camera visited about
    that time.

Most of the Arabs see it uncivilized that in response to
the Hamas' terrorist attack Israel began to enthusiastically
kill civilians in Gaza en masse. Many people of Global South
tend to consider the Israeli policies towards the
aboriginals - not only the very recent ones, but since the
20th century - racist-motivated, and all this is what inspired
the Houthis to take their militant action. The American
"unconditional support to Israel" does not look balanced and
just, so it undermines the Atlanticist credit in the world.

The Houthis May Have Checkmated the U.S. in Red Sea Standoff

The Houthis' squeeze on the critical trade route is already impacting
the global economy: Spooked shipping companies have diverted vessels
toward more costly routesOpens in a new tab, with risk insurance
premiums and global shipping prices rising .. During a White House
press briefing on Thursday, President Joe Biden acknowledged that the airstrikes were not stopping the Houthis but said the U.S. would keep
    targeting the group anyway.

With its decision to attack, the Biden regime appears to have opened
itself up to a geopolitical checkmate by the Houthis. Escalating the
strikes against the rebels will likely bring more shipping
disruptions - potentially counterproductive to mitigating economic
consequences - and risk a full-blown regional war. Negotiating or
submitting to the demands of a nonstate militia group from one of the
poorest countries in the world would be seen by many as a U.S.
surrender .. The Houthis .. have seized on anti-American sentiment in
    the Arab world ..
