Overall, the analysis concluded that the city of Birmingham
in Alabama was the most dangerous in the country. It also
concluded that Thousand Oaks, California was the safest.

The violent crime rate in Birmingham was 1,682, while the
property crime rate was 4,173 per 100,000 residents. The
city also had the highest cost of crime per capita - $11,392

    . . .

The "most dangerous" shifts around a bit, but
it's an "honor" you do NOT want to earn. Hey,
maybe there should be a little statue handed
out ... some little "Oscar"-lookin' guy, with
a knife stuck in his head ?  :-)

Oddly, "most dangerous" does not seem to have
anything to do with whether it is "blue"
or "red". Last year it was New Orleans, a
fairly "blue" city. Shows that social/systemic
fuck-ups can happen anywhere if nobody is
        paying attention.

After this "honor", maybe the people of B-Ham will
turn much more hard-ass on thugs ? Or, alas, maybe
SO many are now thug-positive that they can thwart
        any law-n-order initiatives ...

    Gee, I can't imagine why.

Go wash your hood ... use extra bleach .....

Those population statistics are a starting point toward some kind of a
curative action. What are the statistics on poverty, Education, housing,
and unemployment. Average income to living expense. There are answers
and some idiotic snotty remark ie "Go wash your hood ... use extra
bleach ....." doesn't cut it. I also wonder what the prevalent Religions
and Politics of both Birmingham and Thousand Oaks is? Did either demand de-funding Police protection? Is it possible that one or more of the
Democrats crime families has a finger in the pie?
