Trying to help a poor Filipina. She is in her 50's and has like 5-6 teeth
left. When I met her she had bad gum disease. I took her to the dentist
for several extractions, taught her how to practice good dental hygiene.
Then I bought her dentures. Since her most recent extraction, I brought
her to a dentist who did a radial full mouth xray. I asked the dentist if filling the several cavity filled teeth in the xray would prevent further extractions to which the reply was "Yes".
Then following two fillings, this friend complained of pain sensitivity
to hot and cold that she did not have before the filings.
When I queried the dentist about this she first said it was due to poor hygiene. But I asked further, why did the pain start after the two
filings? She did not have an answer and then finally said her gums were receding on the remaining teeth and that was the cause of the new pain.
When asked again if further extractions were in the picture, she said
yes, they all have to be extracted.
First she tells me that she can stop the extractions with filings, then
she changes her story and says that they will all have to come out.
Example of profit seeking lying? What say you?
