Taiho was born in May 1940 and reached ozeki on
the January 1961 banzuke...call it 20 years 8
months if you don't reckon from his earning the
promotion at the previous basho and don't care
that his birthday was the 29th and that basho
ended on the 22nd.
That would tie him for 2nd on the "Youngest Ozeki
Promotion (6BPY era)" list...but he doesn't
appear on that list at all,with Takanohana II
(20 years 5 months,3/1993) followed by Kitanoumi
(credited with 20 years 8 months for appearing
on the March 1974 basho despite being born
May 10th 1953) and then Hakuho at 21.
Today user Yarimotsu posted corrections.
Taiho belonged on the youngest yusho and
ozeki lists,Kashiwado also on the latter.
