Can you give me more information, Anders? I'm curious, as I don't
    remember this incident.

It was in the prelims for Euro96 and Sweden played Hungary at Råsunda on
Nov 16 (I think), 1995. He broke his ankle seriously just after having made
a perfect pass to Martin Dahlin for 2-0. While everybody was cheering for
the goal, after this beautiful pass, the end of Brolin's career was to
    begin.

It took a long time for him to be able to rely on this ankle fully, if
ever? During the injury time he put on weight and lost his form.

This injury was one of those "ouch" things you sometimes see. You know when >you see in slow-motion how the foot bends and breaks unnaturally... He had >all his weight on the one foot.

That was when we really lost, quite possibly, our best player ever, at 25.

At least if the hyenas of the English papers can have their say.

Sweden isn't big enough to lose players, /especially/ like Brolin, this
early in their careers. We can't just produce another one, like Argentina, >Brasil, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, France, and maybe some more, can
