    The Biggest cup in Europe starts tomorrow, well, maybe not the biggest,
    but it is the heaviest. Like the UCL, the format is 36 teams that play
    eight games and with 24 teams getting to the Ko round. OK, 8 teams go
    directly the next 16 play for the other eight spots. I dont know how
    they decide which teams will play each other and like the UCL it means
    teams really can get the luck of the draw and some will have tough
    matches. Like look at the Hoff, the have to play the Danish Furniture
    club and the hottest team in Denmark, Ukrania greatest team, Portugal's greatest team of all time, France's greatest team of all time, Mr Lily
    Whites greatest team of all time etc.

    Unlike the past one of these teams will actually win the Europaliga cup,
    no more interlopers from the UCL.

    I am not sure if Europa will be playing on the same weeks as UCL.

    The Hoff's return to Euro football has been a big disappointment, they
    look like the floor burger eating Hoff, not the Berlin wall tearing down
    and singing Hoff or the Baywatch Hoff. Down to a goal by the Chilean
    Osorio and they really have not made any chances. This is nothing like
    Knight Ryder Hoff!

    How can we take any of these Europa competitions seriously if teams from Scotland are winning matches???

    It is still Pilsner season here on the Iceberg, heck I am having a
    Bitburger right now! probably around 24C and sunny here, not yet time
    for IPA's or dunkels or Guiness flavoured beer.

    So in the Pilsner Derby between Henninger pils ( I think Henninger is
    from Frabkfurt?) vs Staarprom Pilzen ( I think Staarprom has replaced
    the other one?) it is only appropriate that it is 1-1 at HT.

    Beer snobs will complain about Pilsners being bland but in the summer
    you want a light tasting beer.

    I guess it is only appropriate that the pilsner Derby should have a 6
    pack of goals. Frankfurt was leading 3-1 with 10 mins left but Pilzen
    Urquell came back to defend the Czech right to claim Pilzen as their
    own. I cant complain, they both make good Pilzen.

    I ddint really pay that close attention the match as I was harvesting
    Roma tomatoes and making Arrabbiati sauce. This is the second night
    this week I have harvested Romas and made some kinda sauce. It is like
    I am turning into an Old Italian guy? Mama Mia! I even have a craving
    for Chianti now and it is too hot out for Chianti!?!?!?

    But it will be dark here around 7 pm, bye bye Sommer.
