    That didn't last long. Australia opened the score in the first half with Foord (classic counterattacking goal, nice finish), and since then Denmark has had a lot of possession and zero ideas. Raso makes it 2-0 in the second half.

    A game doesn't last for twenty minutes... it's only a fraction of the
    game. No point huffing and puffing in the first twenty minutes if you
    don't score and you then run out of steam in the second half! Football is played over 90(+) minutes.

    Denmark were found wanting when it came to the final third. Nice slick
    passing around the middle counts for nothing if you don't put the ball in
    to the net. That's why I generally ignore possession stats too, it counts
    for nothing if you don't do something with it.
