    Disappointing WC, I thought we'd be a step further after last year's encouraging results, but defence and goaltending were just bad,
    especially after Sandin sent our only good defender Reinbacher
    flying and almost out of the tournament.

    But the most important thing was to qualify for next year in Prague
    or Ostrava, where beer is cheap and it's close to home. So, yay!

    Relegation battles are much more important than championship battles!

    Does Latvia actually have any NHL players? From what i can see, none of the "big" teams brought their good players.
