    Because her left hand figures are somewhen blurred and they need to be as distinct as possible to make sense of the piece.

    I think this is a ridiculous piece in the first place. The only way to rescue it from a plodding metronomic RH melody is to somehow inject some kind of lyricism into the melody. This is something that most pianists fail to do and who can blame them.

    Probably Berman comes closer than others, but it's a silly piece anyway so who cares. It would take a genius with magic hands to make it work. Maybe Liszt could do it but who knows.....

    Ervin Nyíregyházi is good - I know that version. I'm not so keen on Cziffra here, though his LH figures are nice and clear. The melody is rather metronomic.
