    I think this conductor brings something to this well known piece. A gorgeous reading, without being overwrought.

    The above is a link to a Voxbox 2CD of Fedoseyev's Glazunov 1,2 and 4, with the USSR orchestra, (not his normal Moscow band) and I am hoping the performances match those in his Glazunov set on Brilliant, but in much better sound. Listening online to some
    of the Brilliant recordings demonstrated a very reverberant sound.
    Something tells me that Fedoseyev has these works closer to heart than the Serebrier recordings I have on Warner, which are good but performance wise I am hoping for that bit better.

    And yes, Glazunov is a bit old hat, but still enjoyable for a tuneful wallow.
