Firstly, thanks for making your playlists available to the world
without an expiry date only weeks away.

Does Mixcloud allow you to paste the full playlist under the
    'Tracklist' heading?
Right now only the artists for the first five songs are listed:
"Playing tracks by Red Prysock, Little Richard, Eddie Cochran, The
    Eternals, Elvis Presley and more."

And what do the two entries under 'Chart History' mean?
In other words, what does "48th in the 1950s Chart" and
"81st in the Rockabilly Chart" mean?

Dean, it's great to see five more of your 'shows' listed/linked on
each of your 'show' pages (including two Soul Express radio shows)

    Playlist:

    1. HAND CLAPPIN’ Red Prysock (1955)

In the mid-50's Radio Luxembourg (that could be heard from here in UK) had a regular Saturday night program I used to listen to (when my parents allowed) featuring top American deejay Alan Freed. As I remember it was kind of a compendium of his then-
regular US WINS shows from NYC. I loved the instrumental theme he used a lot---but didn't discover till years later that it was "Hand Clappin'" that has stayed an instrumental favorite ever since. (Another one he used that also took me years to identify
was "Cloudburst" by Claud Cloud & His Thunderclaps)

    3. NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, Eddie Cochran (1961, recorded 1958)

Think this only came out in UK as early \as 1961. 'twas on a London label EP here "Cherished Memories" and as well as the title track contained said "Nervous Breakdown" ,"Weekend" and "Pretty Girl"

    9. LET’S HAVE A PARTY, Wanda Jackson (1958 / 1960)

First released on Wanda's self titled first Capitol LP in 1958 then released as a single in 1960 when it charted in both the US and here in UK

    10. BARBARA-ANN, The Regents (1961)

This was my favorite record at the time it was out and I've liked it ever since. The excellent later Beach Boys version was always a great favorite too

    15. STORMY WEATHER, The Spaniels (1958)

The best of the 50's versioms of the song only I wish they had kept to the normal tempo. Talking of "!Stormy Weather" isn't it about time for THAT version to show up in Samp's 1952 reviews?

    17. REBEL ‘ROUSER, Duane Eddy (1958)

Most people I know have this as their Duane Eddy favorite but mine is his great "Peter Gunn"

    19. (I Wanna) LOVE MY LIFE AWAY, Gene Pitney (1961)

The most famous person ever to ride in my taxi and certainly one of the best to converse with during a long journey to Heathrow Airport to catch his plane back to the USA

    26. FLYIN’ SAUCERS ROCK & ROLL, Billy Lee Riley (1957)

We couldn't believe how many copies of this were still at Select-O-Hits in Memphis when we visited. And we also couldn't believe how quickly the load we shipped home sold out via our store

    37. THERE’S NO OTHER (Like My Baby), The Crystals (1961)

Hugely rare on UK release where it appeared on pre-Beatles Parlophone label. No I don't know why either since all other Philles records appeared here on London label

    43. BOP-A-LENA, Ronnie Self (1958)

Repro'd on a "Gustin" label reputedly named after Val Shively's erstwhile femme assistant Bonnie Gustin

*Compared to other r&b instros from 1955*, "Hand Clappin'" for me now
sounds *relatively* mundane and repetitive. However, I agree it would
be a good choice for an opening theme (played just once) to a r&b
radio show focused on music from 1946-1964.

Give us some examples of better instrumentals from 1955 than "Hand >>>>>> Clappin'"---------------
I don't know what year it's from, but my favorite by Red Prysock is
    "What's The Word Thunderbird."

There was a plethora of records with this title (or very similar) in
1957. This one is my favorite

So the video has the wrong year? (It says 1955)

The Mercury session index says that "What's The Word? Thunderbird" was
cut by Red Prysock at a session in NYC on 26 August 1957

No, I meant the Hal Page record you linked to.

    Sorry my mistake

But yep, everthing I have says 1957 for the Hal Page "Thunder Bird". 45cat has it that way as do other internet sources (including other YT videos)
