    Same here. At one time "Slippin'" was my favorite LR record, but for the past 30 years or so it's been "Sally."

    Definitely for me. The R&B had been popped up some, but was still great, the blues stuff was great, and there were a bunch of great new white acts like Jerry Lee, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, the Johnny Burnette Trio, Dale Hawkins, Mac Curtis, and we got a
    full years worth of releases from some white acts that started a bit earlier, like Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Charlie Feathers. and others. There were also a load of new vocal groups that were great including the Teenagers whose first
    release appeared in the final week of 1955, and the Del-Vikings and others.


    Me & Diane were 8 in 1956. A very impressionable age. How old were the rest of you,

    I was minus 21 months on Dec 31, 1956.
