Okay when you finish I'll add a few from my list okay

I've Got You Under My Skin - Ella Fitzgerald

Old standards don't come much better than this and much as I like
Ella's version (she graces my list too) it has to be said that Sinatra absolutely nails this one!!

The Girl Can't Help It - Rusty York

I never heard this till you included it in that recent contest and I
haven't warmed to it since. Again Richard nails it

Let's Get High - Rosco Gordon

The 1976 issue of this on Sun was a legal legit release pressed
privately for us by Shelby Singleton Corp and not a boot as some would
    believe

    Jambalaya - Brenda Lee

Or to be totally correct "LITTLE Brenda Lee" as she was billed on her
debut single recorded in July 1956 and not to be confused with her
later March 1960 re-recording of the song (the one that is on most
later LPs and compilation sets and the one with Boots Randolph on sax
and the Anita Kerr Singers in tow)

A Casual Look - Six Teens

Got a nice three figure sum for this one on a VG plus 45 copy on the
UK London label that I sold via eBay last year

Please Please Please - James Brown & Famous Flames

Still one of the most explosive musical performances in any movie is
James Brown doing a truly awesoime version of this number in Steve
Binder's 1964 "The T.A.M.I Show" which was retitled "Gather No Moss"
(no I don't know why either!) on UK showings

    Transfusion - Scatman Crothers

Cover of the Nervous Norvus hit on the cheapo Tops label. There was
another unfunnier still version of this on the West Coast "Diamond"
label by the Four Jokers in 1956

Now I'm going to look into this. Second time in 2 days that I've only
been familiar with remakes on CD. First one was Eddie (Guitar Slim)
    Jones's "Certainly All." If I hadn't read Huey Smith's obituary I
still wouldn't know what that terrific record is supposed to sound like! ------------->

I know why--it's because they wanted to emphasize that your homeboys,
the Rolling Stones, were also in it. I know, I know, you didn't notice
    them!

This one always seemed like a misfire to me.

Right Around The Corner - Five Royales
It Must Have Been Love - Earl King

At different times I nominated both of the above for the Obscurities tournament, thinking--wrongly, both times--I had a sure winner.

Actually I just checked up on this and the ORIGINAL title that this
film went out under here in UK was "Teenage Command Performance" which
is how the movie (with restored Beach Boys footage) itself is titled
on YT (making the later decision to retitle it "Gather No Moss" even
    more incredulous)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlhdplJn_oU

Pity the poor Stones having to follow THAT James Brown performance!!

    Embarrassingly so, I'd say.

noticed this is almost certainly from December 1955.. There was an ad
