    The Fats Domino version of "Monkey" could be my favorite cover of a Beatles song. The song is recognizable while he does it in his own style.

    Wow, thank you Geoff. Never heard any of these (except the Otis Redding and Aretha). You know, Bruce lists Fats #1 on his assessment of the artists of the 50's and 60's (just above Elvis*). (Mainly because Fats had a longer career of success.) I totally
    love Mary Wells and gotta get that "Love Song to the Beatles" album.

    * And I have to agree with Bruce on that. There's a YouTube of Elvis doing "Blueberry Hill" paired with Fats doing "Love Me" (in which Fats says he totally loves the great Elvis, then makes "Love Me" his own, with his charming phrasing. The way he
