As I know, it is DEFINITELY sold separately in HongKong and Taiwan and Japan.
I think you better go to shops whcih have connections with importing games. Bomberman is the most popular game in Japan and HongKong at the time it was released(both in Arcade and in PC Engine and in Super Nintendo).
It sequel, Bomberman 94 in PC Engine has released and hit a very very
high price !!!
Bomberman 2 in Super Nintendo is coming too !

Well to the every day american consumer, it is not available if he were
to go to his local Toys R Us. Yes I do know they are available in Japan because I sell imported ones for 35 which do the same job. As for
Bomberman 94, you can easily get one for around 65, which is what I sell
it for.
