Sea Eagle II, built by Royal Huisman, is an 81-meter (266 feet)
three-masted schooner and is currently the largest aluminum sailing
yacht in the world. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark
Whiteley, this yacht features a narrow and efficient hull, a Panamax
rig, and advanced engineering that includes the world's largest carbon
rudder. The yacht's displacement at full load is 1,050 tons, and it is
equipped with powerful winches capable of an 18-tonne pulling load.
The yacht's design emphasizes both performance and luxury, with a
sleek plumb bow, spacious deck areas, and a refined interior. It
accommodates up to 12 guests in luxurious settings and offers
amenities such as a cinema room, gym, sauna, and a variety of water
sports equipment. The yacht's owner, Dr. Samuel Yin, a Taiwanese
billionaire, uses the yacht for both business and leisure, reflecting
his preference for elegant, high-performance vessels.
