Conservative publication, National Review, had this to say about Trump's announcement:

“A bruised Donald Trump announced a new presidential bid on Tuesday night, an invitation to double down on the outrages and failures of the last several years that Republicans should reject without hesitation or doubt,” reads the editorial from the
conservative magazine, published minutes after Trump announced his candidacy and simply titled “No.”

That conservative magazine must be overestimating the common sense of the average repugnant.
The editor should spend some time in here with the likes of The John and his motley band of Moppetts.

It's really not fair to tar all republicans with the same brush. The party fell victim to inflammatory rhetoric that was appealing on some levels and appalling on others. Now that the lunatic fringe has been totally exposed, we can only hope that
sanity will once again prevail. The future of the country depends on it.

I had no desire to see Trump run for office again, dimwit.

Have you seen the New York Post article about the announcement?

Headline at the bottom, below the fold
    "Florida man makes announcement".

“With just 720 days to go before the next election, a Florida retiree
made the surprise announcement that he was running for president,” the
column began. “In a move no political pundit saw coming, avid golfer
Donald J. Trump kicked things off at Mar-a-Lago, his resort and classified-documents library.

“Trump, famous for gold-plated lobbies and for firing people on
reality television, will be 78 in 2024,” it continued. “His
cholesterol levels are unknown, but his favorite food is charred steak
    with ketchup.”

I guess he has lost Rupert a while ago tho.

I'm not a big fan of Rupert but it's good to see that he still has a sense of humor and some common sense.

Of course, Rupert hated him in 2016 and then loved him later.

That race would have been better if they put the dice back in the cup
and rolled out two different candidates.
