There are several hose reels available on line. Some of the videos
might even inspire D and G to make their own jerry rigged
    contraptions.

I was looking at them a couple of days ago. Not a high priority
right now but maybe some time in the future. Situation here has
stabilized a bit. The portable o2 concentrator has allowed her
to get out once in a while without worrying about lugging
o2 cylinders around and she's doing pretty good.

Biggest problem we faced was Mrs.E's secrecy regarding her health
records and doc visit results. It's her personality (as you know).
She never wanted me or other family members to worry about
her. That's nice but kinda pisses me off. I am the type who is
always anticipating potential problems and taking actions to avoid
them. She's the opposite. She just goes on until she runs into
a brick wall at 90 mph.

While in the hospital she finally gave my daughter her password
to get into her medical history available on-line.
It turns out she was first diagnosed with emphysema 6 years ago
but never told anyone. As her breathing problems got worse she
just kept claiming it was asthma because she had it as a kid
(like many kids do). I now realize she hasn't had an asthma
attack in the 52 years we've been married. My first realization
was when she had a pulmonary function test a little over a year
ago. I was in the room while they administered the test and the
nurse explained to me how it was done. After they administer the
first test they have the patient use a fast acting inhaler
commonly used for asthma attacks and then test again. If the
problem is asthma the second test should show a significant
improvement. In her case there was no improvement, and the
diagnosis was emphysema. Her lung function was 26% of what it
should be for a person of her age.

She still claimed it was asthma, even after her first visit
with the pulmonary specialist. Later, she finally acknowledged
what the problem is, admitting she was scared.

Anyway, enough about all this. I never meant to bore everyone with
all this stuff but sometimes it's kinda a relief to get it off my
chest. It's been an intense period of time.

BTW, both she and I tested negative again yesterday for Covid.
My daughter is doing ok so far with fairly mild symptoms.
My son-in-law has recovered and is back to being negative.
