• Jan. 6 panel is told that Trump indicated support for hanging Mike Penc

From wayne.beardsley@gmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Thu May 26 12:57:56 2022
Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows remarked to others that President Donald Trump indicated his support for hanging Vice President Mike Pence after rioters who stormed the Capitol on that day started chanting “Hang Mike Pence!” The
account of Meadows’s comment characterizing Trump’s reaction to his vice president was provided to the committee by at least one witness, according to people familiar with the investigation.

I'm not Mike Pence's biggest fan but you have to give him credit for having the strength of character to stand up to Trump's criminality.

I'm beginning to think you are creating all this drama because you
are bored and have nothing better to do. Have you lost interest
in playing around with that long leged lady?

I have no need to create any drama since others are creating more than enough. Imagine if some of those bozos had actually captured Pence on January 6 and strung him up. Supposedly they had a gallows already for him. And the LLL is just fine thank you.
I'm on it every day working various projects.

    Holy Hyperbole Batman.
Need I remind you the only person killed on Jan 6 was shot by the
    police.

There were already plenty of indications prior to January 6 that Trump was unfit for public office but his actions and statements leading up to that event proved it beyond all doubt. It is crucial to the future of this country's democracy that he be
brought to account for his criminal actions. Nixon was forced to resign for far less, but that was when the Republican party still had some moral fiber and a backbone.

Yada yada. You are blowing Jan 6 way out of proportion. It's 10 times more
crutial that someone competant is put in charge of our country now. Trump
is history and I thank him for his service. There is nothing to be thankful
about what's going on in Washington now. N Korea, China, Iran, China and
Russia are kicking up a storm and it won't stop until we have a strong
front man for our country. Things could get mighty ugly in the meantime.
Muddleing along is quite risky in this changing world.

    What "criminal actions"?
He didn't lie us into a war like LBJ or the Bushes (aided by Clinton
and Obama) that cost thousands of American lives and 10-20x as many
    brown people, mostly civilians..

The Sussman trial is bringing out the actions of the other Clinton to
plant false narratives and lies attempting to overthrow the Trump
government. Of course folks like you and Harry gobbled it up.
The Russian collusion and alleged "Kompromat" like the "Pee Tapes"
were just in the imagination of democrat apparatchiks trying to attack
    the sitting POTUS.
Trump is course and crude but so was LBJ and Nixon in their day to day
life. It just didn't make the news.

What criminal actions? How about "conspiracy to overthrow the constitution" also known as "Seditious Conspiracy" just for openers? (18 U.S. Code § 2384) And then there's 18 U.S. Code § 2385, advocating the overthrow of government. Both of Trump's
articles of impeachment speak to criminal actions, and would have led to convictions if not for the feckless actions of Republicans in the senate. There really wasn't any doubt about guilt since both were well documented. And then there's the findings
    of the Mueller Report.

The Special Counsel investigation uncovered extensive criminal activity:

    - The investigation produced 37 indictments; seven guilty pleas or convictions; and compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions. Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the
    Department of Justice.
    - Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.
    - A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of justice.

Maybe drama ts the wrong word. How would you describe the
preoccupation with Jan 6 and all negative comments about Trump. I
thought hatefullness might cover it but someone bristled at that
    profile.

    ===

There were already plenty of indications prior to January 6 that Trump was unfit for public office but his actions and statements leading up to that event proved it beyond all doubt. It is crucial to the future of this country's democracy that he
be brought to account for his criminal actions. Nixon was forced to resign for far less, but that was when the Republican party still had some moral fiber and a backbone.

    ===

And then there's the findings of
    the Mueller Report.

    - A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of
    justice.

    Wayne,

Why don't you give it a rest and get back to us when Trump is indited, stands trial and is found guilty. Until then, all you are doing is
    reciting the daily MSNBC storylines.

    Peace.

    ===

Peace to you also, along with happiness and good health.

Believe it or not, I never pay any attention to MSNBC at all. To the best of my ability I only quote reliable, unbiased news sources (if such a thing exists). I sincerely believe that Trump was, and still is, the greatest threat to our democracy in my
lifetime. I'm aware that the message does not play well with his devoted followers but I think it's important to counteract the steady stream of "Trump is the greatest of all time" nonsense that emanates from Fox news and his loyal band of true
    believers.

Then where is Senator Clinton’s indictment? Talk about seditious behavior against a sitting President! Most of those indictments are for lying to the FBI. Seems as if they can always bring up that charge. If I was anybody involved in the affair and was asked questions by the FBI, I would take the
5th on every question they asked. How many people have they only gotten on lying to the FBI? And why should that be a crime anymore than telling the
cop you were doing 60 in a 65 zone when he pulls you over for speeding?

What criminal actions? How about "conspiracy to overthrow the constitution" also known as "Seditious Conspiracy" just for openers? (18 U.S. Code § 2384) And then there's 18 U.S. Code § 2385, advocating the overthrow of government. Both of Trump's
articles of impeachment speak to criminal actions, and would have led to convictions if not for the feckless actions of Republicans in the senate. There really wasn't any doubt about guilt since both were well documented. And then there's the findings of
    the Mueller Report.

The Special Counsel investigation uncovered extensive criminal activity: >>>
    - The investigation produced 37 indictments; seven guilty pleas or convictions; and compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions. Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the
    Department of Justice.
    - Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.
    - A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of
    justice.

    Wayne,

Why don't you give it a rest and get back to us when Trump is indited,
stands trial and is found guilty. Until then, all you are doing is
    reciting the daily MSNBC storylines.

    Peace.

    ===

Peace to you also, along with happiness and good health.

Believe it or not, I never pay any attention to MSNBC at all. To the best of my ability I only quote reliable, unbiased news sources (if such a thing exists). I sincerely believe that Trump was, and still is, the greatest threat to our democracy in
my lifetime. I'm aware that the message does not play well with his devoted followers but I think it's important to counteract the steady stream of "Trump is the greatest of all time" nonsense that emanates from Fox news and his loyal band of true
    believers.
Understand however he has yet to be indited for anything to do with Jan
6th and that's all the Trump haters want to talk about. I think I
understand that it's all about pounding the nails in his coffin should
he even consider another run for the presidency. I also think I
understand that like many on the right who despise Hillary Clinton,
those on the left really don't want him to be charged and stand trial.
I think it's one thing the right and left secretly are in agreement
because it sets a precedent for all future occupants of the Oval Office.

We've shifted in the past few years to a super biased media and print
with journalists and "reporters" spreading a lot of misinformation, all
to cloud the facts and influence votes. It's really sick.
    --

    ===

I think there are a number of possible reasons why Trump as not (yet) been indicted, none of which has anything to do with Trump's probable guilt.. For one, the DOJ has to bring a serious and absolutely air tight case with all the i's dotted and t's
crossed. To do otherwise would just bring more claims of political persecution. Of course that will happen anyway, but to bring sloppy and careless evidence would be inexcusable. Another reason may be concerns about political implications and the
possibility of civil unrest. Unfortunately that seems like a very real concern given the unhinged loyalty of Trump's fan base. Yet another possibility is a desire to hold off prosecution until closer to the next presidential election. Last but not
least, there may be a concern that the country is already badly divided, and that a prosecution would greatly exacerbate that situation.

"UNHINGED LOYALTY" " civil unrest" "sloppy and careless evidence"
    See, there's the drama.
It's ALL about political implications and dirty politics Wayne.
You got sucked in. I hope the behavior of current Democratic
leadership doesn't set the standard for future Washington
politics. If it does, we are doomed as a country. Were you proud
of the way Trump's impeachments were handled? Dirty politics?
Many called them witch hunts, and that's exactly what they were.

I didn't follow politics until recently because it really didn't
matter which party was in control. We would muddle through
whatever the current White House occupant was pushing. That's not
true any more. Democrats have gone berserk .

I don't agree that Trump's "dumb stuff" was insignificant. If nothing else it gives insight into his thought process, the thought process of an impulsive, vindictive, thin skinned, egotistical person totally incapable of processing constructive
criticism or opposing points of view. With him, everything revolves around his self centered notions of loyalty. If you aren't for him then you must be against him. If presented with evidence which contradicts an erroneous belief, it is dismissed as
fake news. If a plan of action is contrary to law, the law is ignored or circumvented. Information known to be untrue is repeatedly presented as factual.

That is a very dangerous style of leadership.

How is that any different than FDR, LBJ, Nixon or the Bushes?
Trump is just more obvious about it. They all had enemies lists and

Sanctions won't work on China at all. We need their goods more than

    (18 U.S. Code 2384) And then there's 18 U.S. Code 2385, advocating

    Wayne,

Why don't you give it a rest and get back to us when Trump is indited,
stands trial and is found guilty. Until then, all you are doing is
    reciting the daily MSNBC storylines.

    Peace.

Then where is Senator Clintons indictment? Talk about seditious behavior >against a sitting President! Most of those indictments are for lying to the >FBI. Seems as if they can always bring up that charge. If I was anybody >involved in the affair and was asked questions by the FBI, I would take the >5th on every question they asked. How many people have they only gotten on >lying to the FBI? And why should that be a crime anymore than telling the >cop you were doing 60 in a 65 zone when he pulls you over for speeding?

So, you still haven't removed your head from your ass, apparently. You
    must like it up there.

    reciting the daily MSNBC storylines.

    Peace.

    ===

    --

    ===

So Biden's DOJ is ineffectual? You blather all these condemnations as
though they are cast in stone. Can Biden's DOJ not see as well as you?
Perhaps you should start sending your posts to them.

the LLL is just fine thank you. I'm on it every day working various projects.Holy
Hyperbole Batman. Need I remind you the only person killed on Jan 6 was shot by thepolice.

Maybe drama ts the wrong word. How would you describe the
preoccupation with Jan 6 and all negative comments about Trump. I >>>> >>>> thought hatefullness might cover it but someone bristled at that
    profile.

    ===

There were already plenty of indications prior to January 6 that Trump was unfit for public office but his actions and statements leading up to that event proved it beyond all doubt. It is crucial to the future of this country's democracy that
he be brought to account for his criminal actions. Nixon was forced to resign for
far less, but that was when the Republican party still had some moral fiber and a backbone.
    What "criminal actions"?
He didn't lie us into a war like LBJ or the Bushes (aided by Clinton >>>> >> and Obama) that cost thousands of American lives and 10-20x as many >>>> >> brown people, mostly civilians..

The Sussman trial is bringing out the actions of the other Clinton to >>>> >> plant false narratives and lies attempting to overthrow the Trump

Trump is course and crude but so was LBJ and Nixon in their day to day >>>> >> life. It just didn't make the news.

    ===

What criminal actions? How about "conspiracy to overthrow the constitution" also known as "Seditious Conspiracy" just for openers? (18 U.S. Code § 2384) And then there's 18 U.S. Code § 2385, advocating the overthrow of government. Both of Trump'
s articles of impeachment speak to criminal actions, and would have led to >>convictions if not for the feckless actions of Republicans in the senate. There really wasn't any doubt about guilt since both were well documented. And then there's the findings of the Mueller Report.

The Special Counsel investigation uncovered extensive criminal activity: >>>> >
    - The investigation produced 37 indictments; seven guilty pleas or convictions; and compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions. Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the
    Department of Justice.
    - Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.
    - A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of
    justice.

    Wayne,

Why don't you give it a rest and get back to us when Trump is indited, >>>> stands trial and is found guilty. Until then, all you are doing is
    reciting the daily MSNBC storylines.

    Peace.

    ===

I'm aware that the message does not play well with his devoted >>followers but I think it's important to counteract the steady stream of "Trump is the greatest of all time" nonsense that emanates from Fox news and his loyal band of true believers.

You have never heard me say Trump is the greatest and I agree he is
course and crude but the biggest danger to the republic I have seen
since JFK is Biden. We are looking at a very real threat of nuclear
war right now and Biden is just throwing fuel on the fire with his >>rhetoric.

He's not heard anyone here say that or imply that. That's what makes
    his ranting so ridiculous.

Wayne pointing out that they will time this around the presidential
election just shows what a political witch hunt this really is.

Not when you put it that way.
Trump says a lot of contravercial things that should not be taken
literally. Do you really think Trump would have Pence killed?
