Most voters suspect politics was involved in the overestimate of job
creation that the federal government recently admitted.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds
that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters think the overestimate was politically motivated, while 34% believe it was an honest mistake, and 13% are not

The survey of 1,095 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on August 25-27,
2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3
