What are some clever funny quotes?
In the dead of winter, a member of the same political party to which
Winston Churchill belonged was caught in a compromising position. The
man, married and by all accounts of some importance, had been spotted
with another man doing the sort of things you’d usually spray a cat with water for.
The Chief Whip explained the situation to Churchil, concluding by
saying: “He’ll have to go, Prime Minister…” There was a long pause while
Churchill puffed his cigar, staring at the man intently.
"Did I hear you correctly in saying that he’s been caught with a Guardsman?"
"Yes Mr. Prime Minister."
"In Hyde Park?"
"Yes Prime Minister."
"On a park bench?"
"That's right, Prime Minister."
"At three o'clock in the morning?"
"That's correct, Prime Minister..."
Churchill then exclaimed: "In this weather? Good God man, it makes you
proud to be British!" With a level of foresight not often seen in the
era, he dismissed the issue and protected his comrade from being outed,
as he needed his services more than caring about trivial matters such as bedroom (and park bench) practices.
