I will be homeless next week.

What can I do to preserve my car when I leave it at a friends house?

I think it will not be there more than 2 months.

    Thanks,
    Andy

I would not expect any problems just parking it with a full
tank. (near-empty tanks will have moisture problems over
time). Some modern cars will have background electrical
drain so starting it, running it to operating temperature
once a month is a help.

Give your friend the keys and have him drive it every weekend for a couple miles.

Make sure he does not live in a neighborhood where people routinely steal
    or destroy cars.

IMO, 2 months is nothing to worry about.
Take the battery out and have your friend keep it.
It may need a a jump start and drive cycle when started back up but in
the meantime it will be difficult for the gang bangers to steal.
