I'm surprised he lasted so long.

Not sure how Autoweek get Grosjean *lamenting* his departure when the
article quotes him as saying "I'm very happy for Komatsu … [Guenther
is] definitely a man that's got a lot of ideas and things to do, but
for me the main thing is (I'm) very happy for Ayao."

I have to admit that I do not understand Carl Haas' reasons for
continuing to support the team at all. There is some advertising value
but it must pale in comparison with the costs of maintaining the team.
The available advertising cannot sell for much, considering that Haas is
a last place team, has been in the past and shows every sign of
    continuing to be so.

    Gene Haas.

Sorry, I should have checked that name first.

Carl Haas of course has a very strong connection to IndyCar, so it's
pretty understandable that people don't realize that it's another Haas
(Gene; no relation) who created the F1 team.

Carl Haas of course has a very strong connection to IndyCar,

Not to mention that the late Carl founded the Beatrice Foods-backed F1
team that ran Lola-Fords in 1986 (finishing 8th of ten constructors with
    6 points).

    so it's
pretty understandable that people don't realize that it's another Haas

    I didn't know that!

Not surprising at all that he would have at least attempted F1.
