Did anyone read the article by Elizabeth Blackstock on the Jalopnik
site about the negative responses from a number of fans to the Miami
F1 weekend last year?
“I don’t know if I had any expectations of Miami, but my biggest
takeaway was that this race felt geared toward corporations rather
than fans,” Kueller said. “It felt very capitalistic — and it feels silly to say that, because I understand they have to make money. It
just seemed like the fans were there to walk around and spend money,
but they’re not who this race was for.”
No shade, few bathrooms, limited track views, very high ticket prices: certainly doesn't make me inclined to go. Even if Florida didn't have
a terrible reputation with its current governor.

The free market has a solution to this problem.

They can vote with their wallets. Attending is not compulsory.

The silliest thing was the "marina" where they put down a bunch a blue carpeting and parked boats on trailers.
Why don't they just use the Daytona road course?

Oh, gawd, I missed that (I tend to just watch the quali/race and none of
the associated fluff). It's pure trash:

"Thanks", I think.

Be hilarious to watch them try to race on Daytona Beach.
