What do you all think of the rumors that came out particularly before
hiring Sylvester Mcoy, but once again with regard to hiring the 8th
doctor that the BBC might hire a female to play the part?
(What about a black doctor, or a physically handicapped one?)
    End Quote

So we've had a female (not the 8th Doctor, but still ...) and we've now, apparently, got a Black Doctor (I've not seen him YET!) ... but will we
ever have a physically handicapped one?

We’ve had two black Doctors so far now, one of whom is also female.

And we will no doubt have a Doctor with disabilities in the future but they will require special explanation - a regeneration would have to go ‘wrong’ or something, as regeneration is usually invoked to heal a dying or already dead Time Lord - so that healing process would have to fail to complete somehow.

Yeah, Usenet was mainly used in colleges and universities at
that stage, it hadn't reached the general populace. We were too
busy playing Bubble Bobble on our C64's! Although techie types -
like Dave - would have been aware of it I'm sure.

RADW evolved out of net.tv.doctorwho but I doubt there's anyone
here now who posted on net.tv.drwho. Anyone with a Google
account can relive those early days of Usenet via the
net.tv.drwho archive on Google Groups... well, if it's still
    operational that is.

No replies to "A female Doctor" post on RADW in 1991? Either
Doctor Who fans back then were a very liberal bunch... or
nobody had heard of rec.arts.drwho - or Usenet - at that

radw was popular in the late 1980s/ eraly 1990s.

The Doctor doesn't use missiles or guns and it can't climb stairs, can't

stupid and absurd idea invented by woke retards who don't even watch

for its viewers who they can't stand because they have something they do
    not.

No it isn't. All fantasy is governed by rules. If it's not it isn't

stupid and absurd idea invented by woke retards who don't even watch

In ‘Seeds of Death’ he makes a homemade heat ray weapon out of
a couple of dustbin lids and uses it to kill Ice Warriors. Does
    that count?

He also makes a bomb in ‘The Chase’ but it only kills one Dalek
so it’s probably not worth mentioning.

He shoots inanimate objects in ‘The Visitation’ and ‘The End of >Time’.

Don’t forget all those times he told K9 to shoot monsters.

And since you mentioned missiles in your original post, there’s
also the rocket in ‘State of Decay’.

No wonder the thirteenth Doctor said no weapons was ‘a
    flexible creed’.

Revelation of the Daleks, and I'm sure there's more...

It wasn't the Doctor that was carrying them. Listen to what
the Doctor tells Leela at the start of The Robots of Death
when he sees Leela pointing a gun at him in the TARDIS. Put
that gun away... Put that knife away... You don't need any

It didn't stop him using weapons to shoot Ogrons, Cybermen,
Giant Rats (etc.) You said The Doctor didn't "use" guns, so
    clearly you were wrong!

    As we have seen.

Well, we might have seen those instances of the Doctor using
weapons (guns) Dave... but clearly somebody else's memories are
    very selective...

I suppose it has to fit "the agenda"... if it doesn't, it gets
    ignored like it didn't happen.

No, I’ve been avoiding publicity for the new series because of
    spoilers.

But, knowing you, I’m prepared to bet that they either (a)
weren’t disgusting, or (b) weren’t relevant to Doctor Who, or
    (c) both.

    (c) is the correct answer.

The skirt the child grooming pervert is wearing does not have a fly or a
zipper at the front, therefore it is a skirt for women. How does he go
for a pee when it zips at the back? By the pervert fully exposing
himself at the urinals, assuming he hasn't decided to pee in the ladies
toilets instead. On to of that its cut looks exactly like the one worn
by the woman next to him.

No, I’ve been avoiding publicity for the new series because of
    spoilers.

Yes, watching the publicity for it would spoil it since it reinforces
what we already know from the flop of a Christmas special, that it's
degenerate woke crap. Gibson's foster mother is in again, as is Anita
Dobson, so it's going to be filled with soap opera garbage instead of
being about futuristic societies, thoughts, and ideas, like
science-fiction is supposed to be about.

But, knowing you, I’m prepared to bet that they either (a) weren’t disgusting, or (b) weren’t relevant to Doctor Who, or (c) both.

    (d) none of the above.

The pervert was wearing a woman's skirt with no zip, fly buttons, or any
way of letting him urinate without exposing himself in a modern day
night club with urinals, so your comment is irrelevant. The only way he
can pee without exposing himself is by sitting in a cubical, but given
his character he would rather expose himself like George Michael.

I have no desire to watch that pervert attempting to groom
children what he this their sexuality and gender identity
    should be.

You surely watched the new trailer... even if it was only to
    find something to moan about?!

Not watched a second of it. Even without me watching it it seems you
have confirmed what I said about it was correct.

Yes, watching the publicity for it would spoil it since it
reinforces what we already know from the flop of a Christmas
special, that it's degenerate woke crap. Gibson's foster
mother is in again, as is Anita Dobson, so it's going to be
filled with soap opera garbage instead of being about
futuristic societies, thoughts, and ideas, like
science-fiction is supposed to be about.

Well it features Ncuti Gatwa who you clearly don't like as the
15th Doctor, so that alone would probably give you something to
moan about! I didn't find anything controversial in it myself to
    be honest.

I thought it was a good trailer, as always these days it has a
very modern feel to it... Marvel-ish is the term i use. It is
only a two minute trailer when all is said and done though. But
    I did like it.
