Well, it might not be the worlds greatest streaming service, but I’m given to understand that the weird gap in Doctor Who availability in Ireland has been fixed (watch live on BBC 1 but they’re not legally allowed iPlayer and Irish Disney+ isn’t getting it).
Yes, RTÉPlayer should have new Doctor Who episodes at midnight tonight, in synch with BBC iPlayer.
Blueshirt, can you confirm?

even worth torrenting.

But you will still sit down and watch it!!!
But there's no need to torrent anything if you're on Usenet. The
new episodes of Doctor Who will be uploaded to
alt.binaries.drwho at some stage over the weekend, like they
always are.
However, I can access the BBC iPlayer via my VPN, plus the US
version of Disney+ can be accessed with a VPN too. I also have
BBC1 naturally if I wanted to wait and watch the episodes
tomorrow evening on broadcast. So getting to watch the new
episodes was never going to be an issue for me. Doctor Who being
added to the RTE Player in Ireland just means more viewers.

How can he review the episodes? He has made the following
statements here in plain English...
1) Doctor Who finished in 2017.
2) Only homosexuals and transvestites can watch it.
So to be consistent and not look hypocritical, Agamemnon can't
watch those episodes tonight... as the show doesn't exist to
watch and Agamemnon claims to not be homosexual or a
transvestite.
The minute he reviews those episodes here he becomes the Fake
Doctor...

FWIW, the four 2023 Doctor Who episodes have been on the RTE
Player since February.

That is supposedly the situation, as there was a deal done
between the BBC & RTE hence the four specials from last year
being available.
And this year?

The deal was done this year I'd say, probably following
complaints to the BBC from Irish Doctor Who fans re the
streaming plans for the new season. (Which excluded Irish
viewers from the midnight streamings.) The four 2023 Doctor Who
'specials' were added to the RTE Player service in February, yet
were broadcast months earlier. So I assume adding them was also
part of the deal. Although the RTE Player carries some BBC
programmes just as the BBC iPlayer in the UK carries some RTE
made programmes. So there is clearly some sort of reciprocal
agreement between them.
A recent deal seems the most logical scenario anyway, as RTE
were never mentioned in the original streaming announcements, it
was always just the BBC and Disney+.
