Indeed - Peter Gabriel foresaw this nefarious threat when he
penned the lyrics to "The Return of the Giant Hogweed"[1],
found on the 1971Genesis album Nursery Cryme.
Tony
[1] Initial lyrics to "The Return of the Giant Hogweed":
"Turn and run!
Nothing can stop them
Around every river and canal their power is growing
Stamp them out!
We must destroy them
They infiltrate each city with their thick dark warning odour

They seem immune to all our herbicidal battering
Long ago in the Russian hills
A Victorian explorer found
The regal Hogweed by a marsh
He captured it and brought it home
Botanical creature stirs! Seeking revenge
Royal beast did not forget
He came home to London
And made a present of the Hogweed
To the Royal Gardens at Kew ..."

blame Putin or Biden?

We can! And not just those two - all other political figures
with 5-letter last names.

Aha!
https://rockyandbullwinkle.fandom.com/wiki/Pottsylvania_Creeper
In the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast US we have "Virginia Creeper."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenocissus_quinquefolia
It's everywhere. It overgrows power and phone lines, and the utilities
and the towns have to trim it back.

Untrimmed creeper spreads from a utility line, infests a tree, leaving it too >weak to stand up to a strong wind. Tree falls and takes out the phone
and power lines. Not a good cycle.
Beware the Creeper!--
