    WRATH OF MAN stars the stony Easter Island visage of Jason Statham along
    with a sprinkling of capable character-actors ...all of whom take second
    place to the directorial presence of Guy Ritchie, who artfully conspires
    with a grimly ominous score to imbue this action flick with gravitas
    despite a near total lack of substance. Modestly recommended.

    Yeah, now I remember reading that. (Well, paranoidly skimming, as is my
    wont.) And I acknowledge that, plotwise, there's nothing here but the disappointing silliness you recounted. But, what can I say? I like to
    watch Ritchie cut scenes. (Yeah, I know, "He shoulda cut all of them".)
