You claimed that you found it on your PPP blog.
No, that is not true. Prof. NG claimed that: "That information sounds
suspiciously like the info you "found" at your own blog"
Why do you lie so much, George?
Here is what you said:
"Of course that was just the beginning, since I had to find out where
Herbert said that. So I went to an amazing online resource called
Penny's Poetry Pages. Wonderful site to find things, I can't recommend
it highly enough."
Which does not say that I found the "info" there. For that, you'd have
to read the next sentence as well:
[...] "I used the link to Herbert's /Poetical Works/
(Gilfillan's ed.), searched that book for 'glass,' and found the quote >>>> among 21 other uses of the word, in a book called /Jacula Prudendum/"
(which I gave you the link to, but you didn't bother to read).
What you claimed has just been reposted above.
And it does not support your lie:
"You claimed that you found it on your PPP blog."
Now, once again: either withdraw your lie, or try to back it up.
When you created your PPP blog, you must have gotten the informationfrom somewhere (unless you're older than you look and knew Herbert
personally).
Everything that is in the Herbert article is either cited or linked. If >>>> you'd been on the page, you'd know that.
https://pennyspoetry.fandom.com/wiki/George_Herbert
It sounds like your PPP page had been compiled from existing onlinesources, and that you didn't always bother to modify PPP's data from
their original sources.
It sounds like you're simply repeating your "Professor" friend's
innuendo. Tell you what, shit, or get off the pot. Let's see the
part of
the Herbert article you're both saying is so "suspiciously like" the
poemanalysis quote. Once again, here's the link to help you out.

You just admitted (boasted even) that your PPP page was compiled from
(and linked to) an existing online article or articles.
Yes, of course I use "online sources" for the wiki, wherever possible,
and of course I credit and link to the sources (contrary to your lie
that I "modify" the information to disguise the source). Now, once again:
Where is this information about Herbert's proverb that you and your
ally keep claiming was on the "blog" (which, as I've told you
repeatedly, never was there and still isn't)?
How can you challenge NancyGene's observation in one breath and boast
about having done exactly what she'd said in the next?
Your "professor" accused me of plagiarism, and hiding my sources:
"That information sounds suspiciously like the info you "found" at
your own blog". (By blog, they mean wiki, of course).
Let's see if you (or Prof. NG) are capable of doing some scholarship
here.
I haven't the faintest idea what the above statement is supposed to
mean.
You made yet another charge of plagiarism. Now, back it up, if you can.

Yes, for more than a month. Well, a lot has changed in a month; for
example, Michaels' ordering his "imaginary army" to cease personal
attacks me, precisely so that I can't counterattack. Whatever one wants
to call that, it's certainly changes some things.
Given the new climate, I'd call the above exchange a "sleeping dog," and
my inclination now is to let it lie. But it's certainly a good idea to
know what and where the dogs are, asleep or not, so I do appreciate your drawing attention to this one.
