• [OT] British public demands new election just 4 months after decisive L

Britain had a general election this past July 4 2024 that which the
Labour Party won decisively. Labour got the second largest majority in
British history. Happy days for Britain and the Labour Party, right? Not really. In fact, there is so much concern about the Labour Party that a petition has been launched to call for a new general election. That
petition has received over a million signatures in less than 24 hours!

The BlackBeltBarrister explains in two videos recorded in the past few
hours. In the first video, the number of signatures is just over 500,000
but in second video, it goes over 1,000,000.

Apparently, the handling of non-crime hate incidents, which I mentioned
in my post about the Leo Kearse video from earlier today, is a key
factor in inspiring and signing this petition.

As the presenter makes clear, this petition has almost no chance of
actually forcing a new election but it can, in some circumstances,
require a debate in parliament. If a whole lot of things go just the
right way, it COULD require the King to dissolve parliament and have a
    new election.

It seems that the British people are NOT at all happy with their freedom
of speech being eroded! Here's hoping they find the courage and
determination to demand its prompt restoration!!!
