• Twitter's Community Notes: The Bane of the Democrat Propaganda Machine

From BTR1701@21:1/5 to All on Mon Nov 4 17:35:05 2024
The worst thing to happen to the Democrats' ability to outright lie on social media has been the "community notes" function that Musk installed after he bought the platform.

Let's look at Alexandria Occasional-Cortex's recent attempt to lie about a Puerto Rican festival rally and pretend that it was an anti-Trump rally:

    https://ibb.co/Hn8tkRd

She goes to all the trouble of generating and posting this fake lie only to have it torpedoed by the community notes appended to the bottom of her post. Twitter doesn't censor her speech, the way previous Twitter management did, it just appends the truth to her post, which follows it around and can't be deleted from it so everyone knows what a liar AOC is.

Oh dear, the darling of the far left wing of the Democratic Party was
shown to be a liar! I hope this contributes to her failing to secure a
future nomination as a presidential (or VP) candidate. (Yes, I'm already thinking about who the Democratic Party will choose for its next
Presidential ticket, assuming Harris loses. Obviously, if she manages to
win this year, Harris will be the prime candidate for President in 2028.)

As usual, the truth appears to be at least *slightly* more complex:

Notably, the festival saw the presence of several major Kamala
Harris endorsers, such as rapper Bad Bunny, who made an appearance on
stage, as well as AOC herself, who sent a video message for the
occasion. However, despite the presence of several anti-Trump faces, the
rally, as such, was not explicitly in support of Kamala Harris.

How is the ghost of someone who was killed on "Jan 6" able to post to
    TwitterX?
