Yesterday, I did chores, listened to music, and watched soaps and a
couple of (Lifetime/Tubi) TV movies:
soaps: DOOL - Wed's & Thur's ep. Really, nothing happened in these
episodes except that Rafe woke up (and is close to figuring out Connie stabbed him), and Connie lost out on her chance to stab NuGabi. Also, Stephanie warns Chad that FakeAbby lied, but he's too thick to get it...
At the end of Thur's ep, Sarah was about to undergo hypnosis with Dr.
Evans - hopefully on Friday Sarah either remembers Fiona was the hit-
and-run driver, or at least that the driver was a woman and not Brady...
GH - Thur's ep. I'm guessing they are making dumping Lois' "accent" permanent at the request of the actress (Rena Sofer). Also - wow!!
Kirsten Storms (Maxie) has lost a *ton* of weight from just the last
time we saw her on the show! (how long was the ItRW time gap between her filming those scenes?!!) - she's pretty close to back to being normal-
sized after being too heavy for years (Ozempic?)... Anyway, Tracy
rightly points out that Sonny being a prime suspect on a murder charge
could cause problems for Deception, but everyone just poo-poos her!
Sasha throws a brunch for Cody and Scorpio fam; later, Tracy disrupts
this, and Mac calls Tracy out. Diane warns Sonny about Alexis being in
legal jeopardy over Jagger's murder. Joss complains to Michael about
Carly's tie-up with Sonny, but Michael is back to being 100% "Team
Sonny" (disgusting!). Carly asks Jason to go to Somalia to retrieve Lucky.
college football - UCLA was routed by Indiana - this is not a good start

The Face I Can't Forget (Lifetime) - OK, wow - I figured out the plotline/twist in this one within about 5 minutes!
  There
  Be
  Some
  Spoilers
  Below
So we open with our amnesiac heroine (Rayisa Kondracki) meeting first
her husband (James Gilbert), and then her daughter (Victoria
Baldesarra), and I'm immediately like "That's not HER daughter, that's
HIS mistress!"
Flash forward to the end of the film!
   :|
Yep - got it in one.
To both Baldesarra's and the character's credit, she makes such a convincing "daughter" through most of the movie that I even began to second-guess myself a little... But, nope - I was right.
I actually think they blew it with the resolution - it actually
would have made for a better story if the EVOL! "husband's" (really, ex- husband) story that he fed to the amnesiac had actually be true, but he
had just switched the two daughters' identities - it would have been
really amusing if Baldesarra had actually turned out to be the
amnesiac's daughter, just not the daughter with the EVOL! "husband".
I also didn't buy for a minute that "dissociative amnesia" made any sense here (esp. when the circumstances are revealed) - they should have
gone with brain injury" as the cause of the amnesia.
Amusingly, Rosie Simon, whom I *just saw* in "Wynonna Earp:
Vengeance" also shows up in this flick in a fairly important supporting
role.
Deadly Secrets of a Cam Girl (Tubi) - A 2023 Tubi Original film.
I am making my way through the Tubi Original flicks I actually want
to watch (I'm not going to watch all of them!!), and I think by now I've gotten through most of these. So I tried to get through another one last night, and I went with this one.
Once again, this is a film where the subject matter pretty much
demands naked nudity, and once again they skirt on delivering it.
Though, in this case, they distract you with the "mystery/crime to
solve" pretty quickly so you don't notice as much that they're not
delivering the goods!
Another problem I have with all of these "cam girl" films is that
the writers either don't know what cam girls really do! or they
deliberately sanitize what cam girls do (hint: it's not stand around and
talk to clients one-at-a-time while still clothed!). Outside of one
quick room-establishing shot, this flick is the same in giving us a
sanitized picture of cam girling.
I did like the angle in this one that Our Cam Girl(tm) was using the cam girl thing to actually use hacking software to effectively
"ransomware" some of her clients. (Though they are sketchy on where she
got the software from in the first place!)
Our Cam Girl, Arianna, is played by Stephanie Sanchez - Sanchez is truly *tiny*: I'm betting she's not even 5-feet tall. Surprisingly, this
film is literally Sanchez's only credit. (Did they hire a real life cam
girl to headline this flick?!). Arianna is cam girling on the side to,
1) pay for getting an MBA, and 2) to pay for the medical care for her (non-Latina?!!) "sister"(?!) who has a traumatic brain injury.
Soon enough one of her clients, a high-powered female executive, is apparently attacked and kidnapped while Arianna watches with her hacking software.
Arianna must solve this crime! (Um, why?!) Of course, this puts Arianna's entire life in jeopardy, on multiple levels. But Our Cam Girl
just can't let this crime-solving go!!
Anyway, this Tubi flick was OK (save for the sanitizing of cam
girling part), with a good suspenseful mystery, and the ending (and
ending twists) were decent until the final (unnecessary) "twist", which
was pointless as it not like we're going to get a sequel here.

The King of Comedy (Plex) 1982 movie directed by Martin Scorsese and
starring Robert De Niro as a delusional joker who terrorizes a
late-night talk show host (Jerry Lewis) whom De Niro blames for his
problems in life. I read afterwards that Diahnne Abbott who played the
love interest in this movie was De Niro's real life wife and also had a
role in Taxi Driver.

Nothing. I went to L.A. HorrorCon, which was smaller than the normal conventions and therefore a much more enjoyable experience because everything wasn't hyper-managed, you weren't constantly dealing with massive crowds and sitting for hours in lines just to see all the stuff you came to see.
One of the best things about it was all the talent were just out and about among the attendees instead of sequestered behind big tables where you get 10 seconds to walk up pose for a picture and then are shoved to the side for the next person in line.
I got to chat with Vasquez, Frost, and Drake from ALIENS and Beverly D'Angelo from the VACATION movies. It was much more enjoyable just to have conversations with them about filming the movies and whatnot rather then the assembly-line process you get at places like ComicCon.
I also picked up a CD of the expanded and re-recorded score to KILLER KLOWN FROM OUTER SPACE from the composer himself. It's an incredible symphonic score
and one of those movies that doesn't deserve the score it ended up with, like JAWS 2. (Speaking of which, the entire (living) cast of JAWS 2 was at the con as well doing a reunion meet-up. And let's just say, time has not been kind.)

I went to the big Star Trek con in Vegas the other month and the lines
were surprisingly manageable. The year before it was hour long waits,
but this year there were a lot of just walk ups or short waits.
Although in spite of the shorter lines, I still manged to miss most of
the panels because I was getting autographs.
However, if I'm at a con and there's a celebrity that I really like, I
feel bad if they don't have a line at their table. On the other hand
there are the non celebrities or minor celebs who attend cons and I have
to avoid eye contact as I walk past their table and they try to get me
to buy an autograph. LOL
I see what you did there...One of the best things about it was all the talent were just out and about >>> among the attendees instead of sequestered behind big tables where you get >>> 10

I have a full sized theatrical "Aliens" poster unsigned. I would love
to get the cast to attend a convention so I can get it signed. I am
going to a convention next year that Michael Biehn is supposed to be at,
so keeping fingers crossed that happens and I can finally get my poster signed by someone.

I am making my way through the Tubi Original flicks I actually want
to watch (I'm not going to watch all of them!!), and I think by now I've >>> gotten through most of these. So I tried to get through another one last >>> night, and I went with this one.
Once again, this is a film where the subject matter pretty much
demands naked nudity, and once again they skirt on delivering it.
Though, in this case, they distract you with the "mystery/crime to
solve" pretty quickly so you don't notice as much that they're not
delivering the goods!
Another problem I have with all of these "cam girl" films is that
the writers either don't know what cam girls really do! or they
deliberately sanitize what cam girls do (hint: it's not stand around and >>> talk to clients one-at-a-time while still clothed!). Outside of one
quick room-establishing shot, this flick is the same in giving us a
sanitized picture of cam girling.
I did like the angle in this one that Our Cam Girl(tm) was using the
cam girl thing to actually use hacking software to effectively
"ransomware" some of her clients. (Though they are sketchy on where she
got the software from in the first place!)
Our Cam Girl, Arianna, is played by Stephanie Sanchez - Sanchez is
truly *tiny*: I'm betting she's not even 5-feet tall. Surprisingly, this >>> film is literally Sanchez's only credit. (Did they hire a real life cam
girl to headline this flick?!).
There are a couple dozen IMDb entries with that name, but no picture doing >> various things and showbiz. But I tracked down the image. She looks
remarkably like an AI construct) and found this.

With some alternate pictures that are definitely her
#AlumniAugust Stephanie Sanchez â17 is currently a double major at Fordham >> University studying Theatre Performance and Early Childhood Education.
Starting her theatrical career in high school, she is eternally grateful
for the home that the SJND Theatre Program provided for her. Now, she is
living her dreams learning from the best Tony Award winning professors and >> working alongside the new generation of theatre makers in New York City.

It would be useful to know if any of the other "Stephanie Sanchez"
listings on IMDb are also her and need to be merged, but this info from Facebook (which I can't access) doesn't list any other acting roles.
Arianna is cam girling on the side to,
1) pay for getting an MBA, and 2) to pay for the medical care for her
(non-Latina?!!) "sister"(?!) who has a traumatic brain injury.
Soon enough one of her clients, a high-powered female executive, is
apparently attacked and kidnapped while Arianna watches with her hacking >>> software.
Arianna must solve this crime! (Um, why?!) Of course, this puts
Arianna's entire life in jeopardy, on multiple levels.
The Batman (4K disc) 2022 movie directed by Matt Reeves and starring
Robert Pattinson as a caped hero who during a Long Halloween matches
wits against a delusional joker (Paul Dano) who leaves riddles at the
scene of his crimes. Colin Farrell also costars as a different joker
called the "Penguin." Penguin has an upcoming spin off series on Max
that apparently picks up where this movie left off and will lead into
the next movie.

Nothing. I went to L.A. HorrorCon, which was smaller than the normal >conventions and therefore a much more enjoyable experience because
everything wasn't hyper-managed, you weren't constantly dealing with
massive crowds and sitting for hours in lines just to see all the stuff
you came to see.
One of the best things about it was all the talent were just out and about >among the attendees instead of sequestered behind big tables where you get
10 seconds to walk up pose for a picture and then are shoved to the side
for the next person in line.
I got to chat with Vasquez, Frost, and Drake from ALIENS and Beverly
D'Angelo from the VACATION movies.
LOL

I never thought of those as horror movies!

ALIENS can easily be considered horror. And Beverly D'Angelo has been in >various horror movies-- e.g., VIOLENT NIGHT, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, THE >SENTINEL.

Are you telling me there was a woman in THE SENTINEL other than Tina Herazo and Christina Raines?
