• Chris Wallace Eviscerates DNC's Attempt To Show Love To Biden: He "Got

As Democrats attempted to turn the first night of the Democratic
National Convention into a loving farewell for President Joe Biden, CNN
anchor Chris Wallace reminded viewers why the president was giving a
speech on Vice President Kamala Harris’ nomination instead of accepting
    his own.

Biden gave the keynote address on Monday night, addressing a crowd that
held up “We (heart) Joe” signs. Throughout his speech, Biden was
interrupted by chants of “We love Joe.” The show of appreciation for
the 81-year-old commander-in-chief didn’t impress Wallace, however, who
told CNN viewers that Biden “was basically forced out” by fellow
    Democrats.

“The word that everybody is using to describe tonight is ‘bittersweet.’
It’s just bitter,” Wallace said. “The fact of the matter, I’m not
saying Joe Biden is bitter, but, you know, it’s like you’ve been thrown
out a window, and as you’re falling, you go ‘Gee, it’s nice out here.'”

“There’s going to be a lot of talk tonight about how generous it was of
him and and selfless of him. He was basically forced out by Nancy
Pelosi and Barack Obama and Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries,” he
added. “And I suspect even the fact that there has been this surge of enthusiasm since he left and Kamala Harris took his place — that’s got
to be pretty tough, too. You got thrown out of a window, and
everybody’s applauding the person who’s now in the room.”

Chris Wallace throws cold water on the “Selfless Joe Biden”
    DNC charade:

“He got thrown out of a window…he was forced out by Nancy
    Pelosi.”

A fleeting moment of mostly accurate analysis from Wallace:

Biden dropped out on July 21 after many in the media and the Democratic
Party urged him to step aside following his disastrous debate
performance against former President Donald Trump. After announcing he
would end his campaign, Biden was reportedly upset with fellow powerful Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

“Biden views Pelosi as ‘ruthless’ and willing to set aside long-term relationships in order to keep her party in power — and, most
importantly, to prevent Republican nominee Trump from returning to the
White House,” a senior White House official told POLITICO’s Playbook.
“That’s who she has always been.”

On Monday, Pelosi was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if she had spoken to
Biden since he ended his campaign, the former House Speaker declined to
confirm or deny, instead telling Tapper, “Sometimes you have to take a
punch for the children. I did what I had to do.”

“My concern was not about the president, it was about his campaign,”
    she added.
