Columbia University initially failed to include Jews in an Instagram story highlighting Holocaust Remembrance Day, but later re-posted the graphic and changed the language.

The original Instagram story post by Columbia on Monday made no mention of
the Jewish people or what happened to them during the Holocaust.

"On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we shine a light on the importance of
learning to think critically about the role and responsibility all of us
share in standing up against hate," the Instagram story stated.

After being ruthlessly dragged on social media for it, Columbia later
posted a new graphic to its Instagram story, this time mentioning Jews.

"On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember those sent to their deaths just
for being Jewish, and we commit to reject hatred in all of its forms,
including antisemitism, which has no place in a civilized world," the
    revised post states.

The only patently obvious thing is that may of the students at Columbia
    - and their faculty enablers - are extremely hostile to Israel and Jews
in general, aside from the far left anti-capitalist Jews that support
Hamas. I see no reason to assume that the administration in general is supportive of Jews or opposed to anti-semitism based on what they've
tolerated in the last several weeks. Omitting Jews from the original
statement seemed right on brand for them, not an oversight.

So obvious they completely missed it the first time around.

(Of course the reason for it is clear: they didn't want to enrage the
pro-Hamas brigade to which they've ceded control of their school these days. Not to mention the not insignificant number of administrators and faculty who agree with the mob outside on the lawn.)

Hate bad. When will those bullies in third grade learn to respect the
    feelings of others?

    Somebody reminded them to remember.

When do we celebrate Hamas as a force for good in this world
    misrepresentation day?

I believe your point here is Trump and the MAGA Republicans have shown
the world that they're too fucking stupid to even know what the
Holocaust was and need to be reminded of it, amirite?

So you believe a significant number of people need reminding what
"Holocaust Remembrance" might mean? Is it because you and your ilk are
    so fucking stupid then?

There is no "pro Hamas brigade." That's just your way of saying "will
suck a bag of dicks for attention." Hope this helps.

In related news, I read that visitors to Aushwitz were being heckled and taunted that day.

Well, I can't be sure that wasn't their motive any more than you can be
sure it *was*. But fwiw I do happen to think that the greater message
from the Holocaust is that it was done, not who it was done *to*.
